What do I want?

”What do you want to do when you grow up? What do you want to study, where do you want to live? Do you want children?” Questions like these constantly swirl through my mind, day in day out. As of right now I am in junior year, meaning that in two years I will be graduated. In school we sometimes discuss where everyone wants to study and when we do, I always keep quiet.

I have so many dreams. I want to study yet a the same time I want to take a Gap-Year. If it ever would be possible and inexpensive I would prefer to complete multiple bachelors and one or perhaps two majors. Why? Because I want to learn!

Right now I feel intrigued by Film Studies. There is this college in Amsterdam where I can see myself studying and part of me wants to do everything possible to go to that specific school. But that isn’t an University, it’s an HBO. It’s easier, I guess would be the easiest explanation. With the certificate that I will get as soon as I graduate from High School, I will be able to go to all universities or HBO’s. But because I studied this high level (I guess it’s similar to AP classes), I feel the need to go to university.

So then there’s astronomy which has always been so interesting to me. For that you need to be really good at physics and well.. I’m not. Still, I would love to work hard to learn about space and planets and stars…

At the moment I am thinking about taking a gap-year after High School. In this gap year I had hoped to go to a High School in America (even though their schools would be ‘too easy’ for me as I would have graduated already) but apparently that isn’t possible at the age of 18. So then I was thinking about studying abroad. A few months learning English in an English-speaking country would be so cool!

There’s so much I want to do and see. I want to learn, travel and experience but right now I cannot do any of those things. I’m stuck with High School for two more years, but I’m okay with that. I can’t imagine my High School years to be over. These people that I met are so special to me. I can’t imagine a life without them..

Has any of you studied abroad? If so, what did you study and where? I’d love to know!

My Ultimate Dream Job.

From age 3 to 12 I was determined to become a painter one day. I mean, I always loved creating art so it wasn’t a hard or weird choice. Maybe the idea started when grandfather and I started to do this game, where he drew something and I had to guess what it was. Then I drew something and he had to guess.

From age 12 to round and about 15 I’ve been thinking about design. Still, I do want to do something creative when I’m older. I can’t imagine working all day with economic statics or anything, instead I just want to let my mind lose. Or at least partly lose. Throughout these years I’ve been thinking about the study Graphic Design at which you’ll learn how to create advertisements.

And now I am completely lost. Well, not completely. Most of my friends have no clue what they’re going to do, so compared to them I’m pretty prepared. After I finish High School (hopefully in 2018), I hope to have a gap year in which I’ll travel to Africa to do some volunteering work. For that, I’m already saving up money. And then, after the gap year I see three options.

The first option is Film. Specifically I’d say I’d want to study something like CGI Animations, though I’m not quite sure if that even exists here in the Netherlands. It’d be so awesome to create all these things that no one would ever think are fake, if you understand what I mean. Right now, CGI is my biggest dream.

Though, writing, editing and directing would be sick as well.

Another option is still design, Graphic Design, Architecture, something like that. Though, I wouldn’t be able to say I’m interested in one specific study..

The third option is Youtuber, I guess. It’s hard for me to confess that this is what I want to do as a hobby, but I’m too much of a pussy and I’m afraid that if I start Youtube, I’ll focus less on school. Right when I need to focus so badly on school..

So yeah. Now, my question is: What study do you want to do, or are you doing? How was it? What was it like? Tell me about it!

The Mockingjay, Part 2 #review

The initial release was in November 2015, it was a while ago and I have no idea why it took me this long to watch it. I am a huge fan of the Hunger Games series and of course I could not wait to see this film, I guess I sort of forgot about watching it.. Anyway, today a review of this film.

Director Francis Lawrence did a great job if you ask me. I actually really enjoyed it.

Yet another tag because my mind won’t let me think of creative posts.. Here’s the Film Question Tag I found at this website and I thought I’d give it a go since I didn’t have to do anything better at the moment. Enjoy :) Oh and by the way I chose 10 out of the 60 questions because 60 is a hella lot. Also I just added a few questions of myself.

The Scorch Trails, review

GUYS I HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE! I have waited a whole freaking year for this movie to come out, and a few weeks ago it actually did! I’m serious when I say I have never been so excited for anything, and that is the main reason why I will do a review on this movie.

Flight World War 2 #Review

Flight World War II is a movie that was brought out a couple of years ago. I never had heard of it until I was looking through the Filmography of my favorite actors. And so I came, thanks to Robbie Kay, to this film. From what the trailer looked like, it looked pretty damn awesome. So I quickly looked for the film and watched it. And I can tell you, I love it.

Project USA.

Alright, so I’ve been working on a little project lately. Well, actually just for about 4 minutes. Let me explain myself. As you might now, might not now, I’m going on vacation in the USA. By the time you read this, I am probably in California. If you combine ROAD TRIP and NEW CAMERA you will get a HOLIDAY MOVIE. I always loved the idea of directing and editing films, and I am interested in such studies aswell. So just in case I need to make a portfolio for that, why not just make a movie now?
